SCGC Hall of Fame

SCGC proudly introduces our newest Hall of Fame member...Mrs. Kim England!!!

Kim England has been involved with the Southeastern Color Guard Circuit since 1986. Kim began her winter guard career at her high school, Hughes Kirk, in Beechmont, KY in 1979. She later went on to march in an independent guard sponsored by Western Kentucky University, Savoir Faire. Kim competed in some of the first WGI championships in both 1980 and 1981.

In 1985, she began working with the Hart County High School Band and Color Guard program.  In the winter of that same year Kim started what is now the oldest continually active member unit of the SCGC at Hart County, originally known as ?Parfait?.

Today, Kim works as the high school registrar at Hart County and has been the SCGC Treasurer since 2000.  Kim is married to SCGC ?sound guy? Doug England.  They have 3 sons who have all marched winter guard with the SCGC.  Her oldest, Lance, lives in Pittsburgh, PA where he is a Manager of Practice Support at a law firm and directs the Deer Lakes HS winter guard. Her middle son, Grant, attends Harvard University where he is pursuing his Doctorate in Physics. Her youngest son, Lucas, attends Butler University in Indianapolis, IN and marches with Independent World Guard Onyx.
